Dishcloth Mania!!

Gah...can't stop knitting them! I have lots more to do for our charity projects for our knitting guild this year too. Luckily, this pattern is a quick knit and fun as well. Hoping after the race, I can share her pattern with you all.

These are for my mother-in-law who is moving to Alabama this weekend. I wanted to give her something she'd actually use that I've knit, and these colorways from my stash match the colors in her new kitchen. Score! I also included some matching dish & hand soap, and hand towels...sorry I don't like anyone enough to knit hand towels, not even me ;)

I have to hide the dishcloth cotton before another one gets on the needles...gotta go!

Silky Cashmerino....ahhhh

Is so soft and not too bad to spin! My main problem besides trying for consistent singles is pre-drafting, mainly at the wheel while spinning. I still get a few clumps. Sometimes I try not to pre-draft the braid before I spin, trying to learn different techniques. Um..yeah, think I'll just pre-draft before the spinning, for now ;)

I was trying for the ultimate yardage from the 3 oz. I had.

Here is is plyed and awaiting for it's bath. The plying...I totally get that! Love to do it and it's zen for me. Now if I could get someone to spin all my singles heck I'd be all set.

More luciousness pre-soak...

Zonda Found her Rainbow!!

Didja know I had lost it??

Zonda's Rainbow
Yummy colors or what!!

Very soft and has a good twist! Not splitty, very enjoyable to knit.
Zonda Found her Rainbow!
Superwash sock yarn, colorway based on Find Your Own Rainbow, but she customized this one for me. I told her the base color I wanted for my rainbow and said have fun.

Sock started on 2.25mm needles (ML of course!)
Zonda's Rainbow
Fabulous or what!! Look Momma, no pooling!! Looks like stained glass, but I like Zonda Found her Rainbow best! These are going to be Temptation Top Down Socks by Wendyknits

My knitting pal, aka spinning guru, now aka yarn dyer has opened her Etsy shop. Great name huh!

Drop by and see if there is a colorway that catches your eye. If not, she may be able to help you with a specific colorway or how to find your own rainbow!!

Cabley Embers

Yay for an FO! Despite all the stuff going on around here, it's nice to finish something.

003
If I don't have a sock completed by the 15th of the month, I usually cast on something quick so I can finish by the end of the month for the Sock-a-Month KAL. I know I don't "have' to finish a pair, but I've been doing it for so long (like 5 yrs) it's really a habit. (could have a worse habit you know ;)

004
These cabled footies fit the bill, although it still took 15 days to finish...worsted weight even. Told you it's crazy busy around here. Even with college guy gone.

Toe pic!
Toe pic! Gotta have that one. It was nice to knit cuff down, I like a little change once in a while. I love the colors, even have a bit leftover for a little hat I think, well for a baby, not for me! I have to make sure not to use my pointy needles though...it was splitting like crazy. I've used LL worsted many times and no trouble at all. So that's why I think it's the needles in this case.
