What the HECK is wrong with this picture!!!
I don't have toes like that LOL!!!!!!
Hilarious to say the least...I had some toe decrease problems..ya think! and I really didn't want to frog at this point, I figured I could wing it and kept decreasing. That went ok, but when kirtchner stitching it...well..how did that happen?? I had the correct amount of 10 stitches. Earlier in the heel flap joining process, 1 SM fell out, and I put it where it looked like it went..well not sure if that made some of the problems or not.
But you know what...so what...I am going to cast on the other one tonite and now that I have a clue, I can do this one so much easier and then I will decided to frog the entire or part of the first one. I mean it could be a future design feature...who knows. I like the striping progression, and it is my colors I love (hint, hint SP! :) but the yarn leaves more to be desired. Feel kind of scratchy...it is Lion Brand Magic stripes, maybe after washing it is better.
My Knitty(tm) SP has claimed me and already he/she has a wonderful sense of humor and is making me laugh many times today already! So off I go to sew and start that new sock...oh and Heather as soon as my sized 2 40" addis arrive, your yarn is next. Can't wait! I am also trying to finish up some smaller WIP's before the 10th!(what starts on the 10th...the Knitting Olympics!!) I have decided to make the Hobo Chic Bag!
Can't wait!

And one of the things I love most about knitting is all the learning. Most of the time. Until I do something strange or it doesn't fit right. Then it's all just a big pain. :) haha
Ooh! I got a tip for ya! Before you start the kitchner, slip the outer stitch on each end over the one next to it, as if you're going to bind off - that reduces the number of stitches you're going to kitchner by 4, but also takes care of the donkey ears. I learned this trick from the Cat Bordhi book and my toes came out normal looking! I think that's all you'd have to do to fix yours. But it looks great anyway! Who cares? It's not like you'll be walking around in public with just your socky feet. Though you may be tempted.
Great tip, turtlegirl! I'm definitely going to try that with my current sock. Donkey ears, heehee.
Zknitter, the sock looks great. The toes have personality. ;)
Don't worry about your uber toe. once it's seamed, and you block it, it's going to be fine. Mine was like that too, I had to poke and prod to get it to conform to my foot.
heeeheeee! I almost chocked on my coffee this morning! Your tooo funny!
Neat socks enjoy them everyone toes may look a little funny at first! Great job!
Enjoy@!
