Mild sinus rant and etc! :)

I'm sitting here waiting for my spearmint tea to brew...just ingested 2 sinus headache pills...waiting for the pain between my eyes to leave. NC weather..I tell you...with the warm days...then cold days...then many warm days...it gets the flowers, grasses, etc. confused and the start their spring ritual of pollen releasing early...so for the next few months I have to endure this ritual of my house, car (new red one this year..hmmm will it turn orange??) and myself if I stay outside long enough. I like to try to do yardwork in the spring..plant things..but unless I want to sneeze them away and not see well and probably plant them upside down..I am forced indoors.

As for the sinus medicine...well I am quite perturbed. Here in NC you can only buy 2 boxes of any pseudophedrine enhanced sudafed type product every 30 days...or something like that...it used to be an overthecounter product, now you have to show your license, and sign a sheet that the cops can look at...FYI pseudophedrine is used to make a certain drug that is running rampid all over...so poor me is going to have to get family members to get it for me so I have enough in stock...UGHHH!

Enough of that ranting! Just got This and this in today with the green yarn shown, and a lighter pink that I don't like...hmmm

Started hubbys Thuja sock today with woolease worsted...let me tell you...like 4 rows is 1 inch! Wow, after knitting with sock yarn this should go quick! I also got in a set of 10.5 16" addis to work on hats, so my wrists shouldn't hurt so much using the doubled yarns. I strung 300 beads onto yarn today...yes folks 300 freaking beads...actually I threw in a few more on each in case..anyhow...they are for 2 Odessa hats to hopefully be started within the next week. I also casted on for DD's voodoo wristwarmer(sadly 2nd wristwarmer syndrome). I also have to swatch for her Kyoto sweater (I was gently reminded last nite about THIS and a pair of socks).

I printed out my certificate for participating in the Knitting Olympics, it is really awesome, even had some special paper to print it on...sniff I really wanted the medal..oh well...I am just so happy to be able to switch projects...I learned a lot...mainly I do not like being true to one knitting project at a time...I need variety. I would have finished I know it...darned yarn...wonder if it was a short skein ;)

It was totally a short skein :). I'm sorry to hear about your allergies. And the limitations on meds because of meth is phenomonal - it's out here too. Grrr! You have some great projects on the horizon - the bags! Yum!!!!

That is weird that they do not allow you to purchase more medication over the counter.

300 hundred beads--wow, you are amazing, I have not even pre-strung my 150, still waiting for calm day to do it.

You asked me about using Lamb's Pride Bulky for hats. I made a few for the Dulaan Project with the pattern at my blog and they came out really nice...they fit a 19" head circumference

I certainly feel better that you won't being making any bath tub meth in your house, snort, snort. 2 boxes, thats ridiculous, I'll go through that in a week!

And I hear ya about the weather, WTF????

And the bags...SUPER cute!

Right there with you. I've switched to Benadryl, since I felt like a criminal every time I tried to buy my regular Sudafed allergy meds... pretty sure the meth labs don't buy their pseudoephedrine stock one box at a time.

That bag pattern looks too cute!

You're a gold medal winner to me!

I can relate about the allergies--we went from beautiful 70 deg. weather to icky rain.

Can't wait to see the purse!

Try a Neti pot for your sinuses. It works wonders. About $15 at the health food store.
