F....is for....

Forsythia-a shrub with yellow bell shaped flowers that blooms in the Spring!...hmmm March 15...Spring???

I am particularly proud of this forsythia and if you look at the one on the right, far behind near the house, it's Mommy! Folks I have no green thumb! The one next to the house started as a clipping from MIL! The one you see now (up close left and full size right) is the result of a baby clipping....I literally stuck the clipping in a hole, watered...that was it.

Not too bad! For an ungreenthumby person ;)

Very pretty. I love forsythia and have no idea why I have yet to plant any. Wanna send me some ;)

I really like all that bright yellow color in the Spring. Yeah Spring!

Our forsythia was a pathetic little twig we discovered when we cleared away the buckthorn forest that had overtaken our yard before we bought the house. It's big now and making babies. They are such willing shrubs!

I wish mine was blooming, but we'll have to wait about 5-6 weeks I think. I'll just stare at yours and trust it means that spring is on the way.

I reckon you may have a green thumb. Spring is almost here, yeah!

Is that what that is? I've always wondered. I absolutely love seeing growing on the side of the road, or along someone's yard. It lasts so long. Now I know it's name!

Hi! Thanks for posting a comment on my blog - I've loved looking through yours so far! Nice photos. I love your forsythia, I've always wanted a garden of my own.
