Ok Mom! I'm doing my homework.....

Thats what I hear often from my 11 and 16 yr old! In irritated voices!

But this time it's mine! :)

I have 1 1/2" to go on this cuff and I have to at least start the other cuff to make sure I remembered what to do..says the teacher ;) I probably shouldn't have used the navy as it is hard to see, oh well! So far I am loving the 2 circ method. Now if I could learn 2 at one time with 2 circs, how cool would that be!

Go for it! Its totally not hard, same as one sock on 2 circs, except the cast on is a little wonky and managing two strands of yarn at once... I really find the socknitters "two socks on one circ" class helpful for learning the caston, and for the 2 strands of yarn I usually knit from the inside & outside of one ball, and just make sure to turn my work so that it doesn't get twisted as I hop from the front to the back needle.

I wish homework was knitting :)

I agree, once you have one sock on two circs down, two socks on two circs is not that much different. I find I still like doing them one at a time though - juggling the two yarns gets too annoying for me. But I know many people like it better, because you don't have to deal with Second Sock Syndrome.

Hey, thanks for your comments on my blog! I'll have to try to post more photos of Maine so you can "visit home" once in a while!

I'm not actually a Maine native, but have lived here for a few years and agree it is truly an amazing and beautiful place.

Ok easy enough...;o)
using your other end of the skein of skein 2 cast on second sock onto circ, or circs if using 2, just as you did the first. Then you knit across both side of each sock remembering to use the correct working yarn for the correct sock... Glad your children like your knit socks!! WOOHOOO! Especially those ages.. not my oldest but my little ones love them.
Theres a tutorial at www.socknitters.com on both methods with photos
happy sock knitting!
