H is for.....

Hubby and his hat!!

I have been wracking my brain to think of something and it was staring at me all of the time...well..part of the time..LOL! Hubby loves these types of hats. This particular one was from our last trip home to Maine. An LLBeaner brand that he loves. Wears it all winter, no matter what...matter of fact it is now 1 May and he still is wearing it. A friend told me today it is his "Indiana Jones" look! I agree! Don't let anyone take away his resting place for his hat....run and hide if you mess with his hat!

I told him he was about to go nationwide...worldwide if you think about it...sorry everyone, he's mine ;) We've been married 20yrs..YIKES! and unfortunately due to his surgery in December did not get to celebrate as we would have liked to....so I think we'll celebrate our 21st in style! He just found out this past week that his first blood test since the surgery shows no signs of cancer..Yay! We do have 5 yrs to go until he's declared cancer free...but one step at a time. I would like to thank all the well wishers from the Knittyboardstm for their well wishes this past week. It really helped, even though I couldn't talk about it while I was going through it...thanks for not scolding me too much ;)

On the knitting front...gah! swatching almost done (later this evening) for GreenBrown Gable, my first "in the round swatch" and hope to cast on when swatch dries. Then cast on for Cutaway sweater (can't believe I'm knitting 2 sweaters at the same time!) let alone more sock homework...off to sew now!!

Great pic! It makes me smile because it reminds me of my dad--he attached himself to what I thought were dorky hats when I was a kid and wore them everywhere! So embarrassing when you're under 18! ;0)

So glad to hear he's doing good!! What a relief for you and the kids!

Aww, your hubby looks so handsome in his hat! 20 years - what a landmark. I think you certainly do need to celebrate extra on your 21st to make up for missing this one . . . or celebrate it at 20 1/2 years. I'm so glad he passed the first blood test with flying colors. I'm sure the rest will go just as well. (And no, I won't try to steal him away. I'm coming up on 2 years w/ my hubby and I'm not ready to trade him in yet - LOL)

If you squinted while looking at your hubby in his hat, he sort of looks like Terry Pratchett.
