May Sock is.......

Finished for my Sock-a-month KAL! Done on 2 circs, which I learned from my not so local LYS. Glad I took the class, I learned a lot about basic sock making and a few other hints. Plus, for 3 weekends it was so nice to actually set foot in a yarn store!

Done in Plymouth Encore Worsted as required by the class. Not my first choice, but hubby likes them...his first of hopefully a few from me. I have 2 skeins of Regia Silk waiting in the wings to be Thuja's for him! I now can use 3 methods for sock making...hmmm need to learn the 2 at a time method one day! :)

On the dyeing note, below is a skein of Patons Classic Wool that was once the Winter White colorway. Dyed twice with Burgundy Wiltons Icing Colors, not the deep shade I wanted, but good enough....I call it Z'wine and it is a going away gift.

I'm off again today and hopefully will be dyeing and sewing when I return from my son's awards assembly.....later :)

Socks look pretty good! Doesn't it feel so nice to have a project done? Now all you have to do is admire it! Love your little yarn cakes!

Your socks came out great. Hurrah for learning new techniques too - you should be very proud. Have fun doing Thuja - I really liked that pattern.

I'm thinking of taking a class too, just so I can go to a yarn store on a regular basis :)

Your socks are great! Congrats on learning a new tek, too :)

Good luck with the 2 on 2. I tried it twice, and even though I got it going the second time, I found it rather slow. Meh. Maybe I'll try two plain stockinette socks at once and see.

The "Z'wine" looks fabulous! So pretty.

They came out great! I love your yarn cake--it looks good enough to eat!

I still only know one way to make socks, sigh.

No knitting classes here in Croatia! I really envy you on that!
And I also envy lucky bustard who will be gifted with that Z's wine yarn!
And I envy... OK, enough, 2 envies are enough for one comment!

Awesome socks, and just perfect for a man - unfortunately they don't like all our fancy, colorful sock yarn for their own toes, so they have to go for something single-colored! But this is such a great blue - even though, I have to admit, your hand dyed yarns' color is even more gorgeous!
