The Stories.....

This yarn could tell! The travels it has made. The people who have read the addresses and wondered...WTH!

yarn I won a blog contest over at Knitpastis. These are two of her hand-dyed yarns, just love the colors too! Thank you!

The prize decided on it's own when it would arrive. As far as I can guess, that green customs tag that got attached to my package by mistake at the PO was the cause of the .....

See right above, Misrouted to Uganda! I think it was just not attached well enough to the correct package and got stuck on mine. I sure hope the intended person in Uganda gets their jeans though! When I received it, I saw the return address and knew who it was from, but I was wondering why the customs tag was on there.

You know, this is the 2nd time in about a month a yarny package I've been waiting for has been misrouted....wonder if this is a sign?? hmmmm.....

Have you ever wondered what stories your yarn could tell?

That is a strange adventure for your yarn to go on. Knitpastis has such pretty yarn, she does such a lovely job dying it.

I think that someone is going to be missing a pair of pants. That was a long vacation your yarn was on! Did they open the package up and notice it was yarn:) So happy to hear you got it.

That poor pantless Ugandan!! Well at least they didn't try to knit a pair of shorty shorts out of your yarn!!

Uganda! That's ridiculous. I feel sorry for the poor pantless person in Uganda.

You're so lucky the yarn arrived, and it's so pretty. I have a deep and lasting hatred for our postal system, based on many incidents just such as this one.

My gosh, Uganda!!! This yarn is definitely very well travelled - I'd have loved to join it on its tour around the world! Glad you've received it now though!

Holy moly, that is a major trip! It sort of reminds me of the time a letter was sent to me from a town just north of me, and it was accidentally sent to Illinois before making it back here! But your is even better, haha!

Wow, that is some story! I've had packages go missing once in a blue moon, but never so far off the mark that I know of. Glad my package arrived to you more directly, lol!

And yeah, I don't think that person will get their jeans. But some fashionable postal worker might!

"Hello my name is Joseph and I am a pantless Ugandan. Please depost $5 into your bank account so I can buy pants" :)
THe yarn is lovely. I hope it had a fun trip and got to entertain the customs agents.

Uganda? That is out of control. I've received just the packaging 2x before - no contents, just the ripped, empty packaging with a note from the post office letting me know that REALLY this doesn't happen that off...and well - we're really sorry, please don't hate us. Groan.

Man, that is quite the detour! Hey, you could send something to your SP with that envelope - imagine how impressed she would be that you got the package bounced through Uganda! ;)

Uganda! Wow, that's some well-traveled yarn!

Maybe it is a sign. Maybe it's telling you there's good yarn to be had in Uganda!

Your misrouted package reminds me of the time my sister and I ordered flea medicine for the dogs from Canada and we got it "Via Australia". What!? We live in Washington State! You couldn't just toss it over the border?
