What a weekend!

Busy days for sure! I finally had to get the weeding done and some plants and bulbs planted.
031
So, 2 trips to the store for mulch and a few other accessories and here you are!

022
Luckily my son helped me weed this one area, it was bad, darned dandelion roots! I also divided up some of the monkey grass too.

030
Here's the other side that was more full of tough grass that snuck in. Lots more bulbs planted and hey, I even remembered they have an up side to them too! We'll see later this summer when some are supposed to bloom.
025
I replanted some lavender to the front that was lost in the back. We used to have shrubbery here, but it was dying so we dug it up. Now I'm into low maintenance and crawling plants.

033 Hehe..my hubby said a prayer for these plants. He calls me a plant murderer. Well, going to try and prove him wrong this year. Yeah, all those lovely ones from last year bit the dust early. :(

027
This area took 13 bags of mulch! Geesh! Not much weeding needed, just mulching. My yard looks so fresh and clean and now I can move onto the side beds...um..maybe next weekend...my aching muscles.. ;)

003 Oh, and the new siding on the chimney repair is done :)

Back in commissionAnd, back by unpopular demand, my trusty Singer. My "other" one is going in the shop for the same problem as before, won't form a stitch after a needle problem...looks like I'll finally have to break down and buy a certain metal part that may help with this problem. I have one custom order almost finished and another one to do, and I'm taking a sewing break. Partially due to my "other" machine going away, and other things going on. Wonder if they'll have it for 6 weeks this time??

Your yard looks so pretty.

How frustrating that your sewing machine is having the same problem as before; hopefully, it won't be gone for so long this time!

The flower bed looks great! Nice job. Just keep an eye on those potted flowers. Terra Cotta sucks the water out of the soil quickly so you'll need to water daily.

Yay! The chimney looks great! And yes, what Turtlegirl said about terra cotta! Sometimes I have to water twice a day.

Your yard looks great! :) I really should do something with mine actually...it looks a bit like a jungle at the moment...

Everything looks great! Doesn't it feel great to have a nice fresh yard! I've done much better with the potted plantes and flowers since switching to plastic pots and glazed pottery. SOmetimes I found the terra cotta was drying out just too fast - even a once a day watering wasn't enough!

hope you get your machine fixed soon. i waited about a month for mine to be fixed. went to pick it up to take it elsewhere and lo and behold it was fixed and the guy didn't even call me. don't think i'll take mine there again. but best of luck to you!

dude, I know that machine! my middle school's home ec room was full of 'em. I think mom bought one when they were selling them off. I think she still has it.

It looks fantastic!

Gardening looks good! I have heard (and done it too) that overwatering kills more plants than underwatering. Not sure if that will help, but there it is anyway...
