Trucking along....

Truckin'....etc., etc. brings back some Grateful Dead memories for sure!

Work's been a bit crazy. My room is entirely empty except for cupboards. We are getting new xray equipment installed in the next 6-8 weeks so I've been in the OR and boy do I feel old! I'm used to my joystick to move my C-arm around...not up there... it's manual labor! My legs and feet...gah. I get to spend 1 week in Wisconsin at the end of next month trying to learn how to use it too....cheeeese!! Heck with the yarn, I gotta get some cheeese ;)

So been doing a lot of online training/refresher courses for work as well. Snore....actually the latest one was ok. I learned a lot about asbestos and fire extinquishers that I didn't know!
Toasty
Toasty mitts, great to keep you focused on the computer screen, mindless stockinette :) Hope to be done in the next day or so!

Mr. Lipstickjeans....
Sooooo close....I can almost cry!! Like 9 rows, (2 cable repeats and a few plain rows) then bindoff! All that will be left is the button band and weaving in ends. Gotta rock on it 'cause this (see mid-post) is waiting patiently and she wants to be finished in her month you know! ;)

Hehe...ok, getting a bit orange around here!
What a score
What a score tonite at knit nite! B&N had 50% off and members got an extra 10%! 60% and I stocked up. I love the measuring bowls and have been wanting an oil thingy like that for a while. It wasn't until I got home I realized it matched my Rachael Ray cookware I got about a year ago. I love wooden/bamboo spoons too.

Well, that is about all the news that's fit to print or something like that...

"truckin', ............just keep truckin' along..."

Ok, I've only been to 1 Grateful Dead concert. I got tickets in college for me and and my college roommate. She already had tickets to the same one with her boyfriend. Hehe..what a way to get a certain guy to go out with me, wave a ticket in front of him. We went, and I had no idea what it would be like...interesting for sure...as for the boyfriend...we lasted the rest of the year...then he dumped me, went out with the girl he dated before me and married her...yeah that was my curse, the old boyfriends married the next girl they went out with after me. I swear it happened 3 times...yes it did, you can stop laughing now!...ok, end of random factoid about me ;)

i guess it's been a while since i've been to B&N because why in the world is a book store selling kitchen stuff?!

Yeah I had no idea B&N sold kitchen stuff too! But I dig it. I've always wanted to try one of those silicon pastry brushes.

Can't wait to see Lipstick Jeans!

Oh dear. Your Grateful Dead ref is dredging up old memories for me. I actually followed them around for a couple of tours. Yeah, don't ask.

Hot reds and oranges! Perfect for the winter blahs.

I'm looking forward to Mrs. Lipstick Jeans being done. I wanna see it!

We have some measuring bowls similar to that, and we just love them!

Kitchen stuff at B&N! Inconceivable!
;)

The Dead were really popular with a certain contingent of grungettes in the 90s. I had a couple of employees who would come to work and first thing pop a Dead tape into the stereo. I had trouble convincing them that it was not appropriate to play stoner music in this particular venue.

"oil thingy" - I wish you wouldn't use such technical terms ;-)

Can't wait to see Lipstick Jeans done!! Soon! I can feel it!

My goal at this point for my FLS is to at least cast on in February. Oy.

Orange is the new yellow.

Seeing the Grateful Dead in concert is something on my list of things I wish I had done but can no longer do.
