Prickly Ribs

Well, after knitting a stockinette pair, and another patterned pair, I just felt the need for some ribbing.....

As the end of the month was getting nearer, I knew a quick pair was needed.
Prickly Ribs

With this pattern (see link below) it has you continue the rib down the heel flap.

Heel Pic! It was nice to knit a heel flap again. I still like knitting them.

I like how the exact center of the toes are different.

Prickly Ribs
Shades of green, brown, and cream, nice colors I say! Hardly any pooling except in the gusset area, which a lot of variegateds do.

US 2 (2.75mm) circs-2 circ method...darn where is my magic loop one..oh..right..car..door..must replace!
Started August 21-Finished August 31

The yarn is a teensy, weensy bit splitty, which really could be me. It's a heavy sport/light DK weight but I still needed size 2's to knit the socks. I really like the colors. It's pretty soft and I'm sure will be even softer after their bath. I have a few other skeins of this weight I've been lucky to get in destashes. I look forward to knitting with this yarn again!

I only got to knit 2 pairs for Summer of Socks 09, but that's ok. Onward to a certain Lady that has been waiting patiently in the wings, but has told me under no circumstances is another sweater to be started until "she" is done ;)

Very sweet, I like the 'ankle' style, it's all I really wear, so these would be a great pattern for me.

When I recently started a pair of socks (after many, many months) for me with ribbed cuff I got an urge to continue knitting in 2/2 ribbing but since I am such a lazy b.... to count rows ... I switched to some lacy stitches!

I find the striping around the toes to be quite mesmerizing...

Nicely done! I prefer it when socks aren't perfectly matchy. Makes them more fun!

I have a pair of socks knitted in that yarn and they're squooshy and fab. I was bummed Cider Moon went under!

Great socks. I miss Cider Moon too, but I think the 2 (3?) original owners have formed their own companies now. The dyer has her own etsy shop: Yarnzombie's Gaslight Dyeworks. I got Cider Moon's old Lost colorway from her.
