Kiss a Frog Prince to become....
A Frog Princess??
I bet you are all wondering why I am asking this question?
Aren't these colors just fabulous?
Frog Princess Colorway
2 ply 100% Superwash Merino
Fingering weight (yikes, please don't make me use 0's!!)
This yarn has a little story to it. Well, make that a couple of stories. The first story is how the colorway was named. It was advertised, unnamed in the Summer 2009 Interweave Knits advertisement of this dyer, and the winners with the winning name are posted here.
Another story is how I obtained it. I saw this colorway on someone's blog post during the Sock Summit. I just...well...it had me at hello (stop it, I know a lot of colors have me at hello, but what can I say, I love color ;) I figured it was one that you had to "be" there to obtain. Well, I went to
Miss Babs website and there it was, but I had to wait until it finished hanging out at Sock Summit and traveling on the train back to it's home base before I got it. Well worth it in my opinion, but I wonder what stories this well traveled skein could tell me...inquiring minds wanna know ;)

OK, that's gorgeous!!
Yeah, it pretty much would have me at "hello" too!
Bought it during the naming contest--I didn't win--but I just love it. Whatever it will be will be for me.
Very pretty! I'm super excited for the movie...and to see what you knit up!
I love this colorway.. very pretty! I had submitted something in the contest and didn't win. I can't wait to see what you do with it!
Ooo, love the bright colors!
In the new Disney movie, it certainly does mean that.
I'm curious to see how this fascinating colorway knits up.
SCORE!
Oooh, stunning stuff! The green with the pink and purple is awesome. What a great color combo.
Such a fabulous color!! And your very own sock summit souvenir!! To think, your yarn and I were within mere inches of each other (seriously! I was in that miss babs booth quite a few time!!)
So pretty. And what a story!
Nice!! Now.. you know you want to bring out those 0's!! ;)
That's some seriously awesome yarn! I think it had me before 'hello'... see, want. It's based on instinct, completely pre-verbal.
