Well a partial version anyways. I was off all week except for today due to new equipment installation. I had a list of 9 things to do..um..see below for the 1 thing that did get accomplished.
Finally!!! My Son of Dishrag Tag box arrived!
Yummy chocolate, a cute pumpkin coffee cozy (has she been reading about my latest orange craze) so soft bamboo merino sock yarn and of course my own dishcloth. The full ball is what I had to use to knit mine.
We are officially in last place. Hey, sometimes the best is saved for last right? Our box went AWOL 2 times, but our wonderful team captain and the organizer kept sending out new ones.
I got it at 3pm, but couldn't start knitting on it until 7 or so. After a few false starts I finished half of it before I passed out. Got up and had to go to work to schedule patients and have a meeting..gah...I knit every second I could. Then it was time to go home...I was only 6 rows and a bind off away. I knit walking to my car (thank goodness for garter stitch huh!), I knit at stop lights, thank you for the extra long ones today. :)
Quick pic before it went into the mail. It was soooo close! I got to the PO at 6 minutes before 5 pm! It should reach it's destination by Monday as it's not too far away. :)
In other news...that list..well the main thing I wanted to do was spin. I have some bobbins in dire need of releasing their fiber.
Well, due to some unwanted tiny visitors in the dry goods...a deep pantry clean was needed. Then I realized how ugly it looked. So bright idea....paint it. Painted on Monday. Planned on moving back in on Tuesday. Decided to trip down some stairs. Spent Tuesday in studio with ice on ankle knitting...darn! ;) Ankle is fine now, the resting and ice helped immensely.
Has anyone seen my dining room table??? I swear I left it here!
Ahhh...see what a nice coat o'paint will do to something.
Almost back to normal. Going to store more in plastic now...darned visitors!
Wish me luck on getting at least 1-2 more things off my list before the end of the weekend!

So, were these the four-legged and furry sort of visitors, or the smaller, creepier ones with more legs? We've had mice in our pantry a couple of times, and I've just pretty much given up on storing ANYTHING in there that's not in a container of some sort. It does cut down on how much junk food we keep in the house, though!
I just had the same experience due to some pantry visitors. Mine involved throwing out a lot of bakers chocolate (sob) and a huge amount of bred flour. I bleached, painted, and bought the same plastic containers.
I skipped the falling down the stairs though.
I'm glad your ankle feels better.
love the cozy!!! good luck w/your list!
Good luck with that list. Whenever I have a list of things to get done, I manage to find all sorts of other things to do instead (or I take lots of naps); I rarely complete a list :-) I have faith that you'll do better than me.
Those little critters annoy, but are they doing us a favor? Pantry looks great. I twisted my ankle a week ago too. Iced it and it was fine.
Hate hate hate the critters. I'm creeped out by the thought…. The plastic containers are probably a better way to store stuff anyway, but dang!
Stay off the ankle! You know, an excuse to sit and knit longer.
Hope the critters stay away!!
Rest the ankle and have a Happy Halloween!!
You really have been busy. o.0
Happy Halloween!
xo
I may-or-may-not have found something yucky in my flour the last time I needed some. Bought a new bag and it's in the freezer downstairs. In case I need to start over with that container. Yuck.
Pantry looks great, though!
I love paint! So much cheaper than a whole house, and it makes everything look like new.
Very nice package! I love those sugar and creme colors - and what you did with them!
See, right now table in my craft room looks exactly like your kitchen table!
Gosh, it's really tidy-up time for me!
Wow, you've been busy! I'm thinking about THROWING myself down the stairs to get a day of nuthin-but-knittin'...but with my luck, I'll break a hand and not be able to knit. Ah, well.
hey, what'd you get for new equipment?? Anything fun and exciting?
Wooo! The pantry looks great! I hope we all get a chance to sit down for a minute this week - I am missing my mammas!
PS - At least there was not an attack of the killer potatoes!
Cleaning out the pantry is on my list too! I bet you are glad that's done, even though it wasn't originally on the list!!
It looks great by the way!
Fun dishrag tag package!
I should paint our pantry. Actually, I should paint our entire fugly kitchen. But I'm still waiting to win the lottery so I can just have someone come and demolish the whole thing and rebuild it for me. ;)
Oh yes, I know what having those kind of visitors is like. We still remember the Great Ant Invasion of Ought 6 in my house!
