At our last guild knit night, they surprised me with this! So cool and very unexpected.
A gourd made into a knitting bowl.
I've always seen gourds made into different stuff and wanted one.
She used fabric strips dipped in something to line it.
All of these were inside!
Here I was buying some skeins of cotton (oops, had packed and sent off all mine) to knit some...
Now I don't need to ;)

Pardon me, but I must ...
It is GOURD-geous! LOL Oh, how I crack myself up.
Love all the dishcloths. Won't your new kitchen be cheery!
What a gorgeous gift! Lucky you!
Awwww.....that is just so sweet! What a special gift!
That will make a great kitchen decoration, esp. with all the different coloured dishcloths stored in it. And a fabulous way to remember all your knitting guild friends :0) Gourdsome!
What a neat gift! So cheerful!
That was very sweet of them! I like the bowl! I think what they did was coat the fabric with Modge Podge to get it like that. It's a decoupage technique. I've been wanting to try that, but I've got no where to put the item (a dresser) so it'll dry undisturbed and well-ventilated.
Wow! What a gift! That's a special group of knitters that you're part of :-)
That's so cool! What an awesome gift to go away with. You have a great group you're saying goodbye to.
Awesome gift!! Love that bowl, how fantastic!! And great goodies inside.
What a great gift!! So incredible- and you'll think of those friends every time you pick up one of those cloths!
I'm really not into yarn bowls, but that one is AMAZING! I hope you find people just as cool in AZ!
What a sweet and thoughtful gift!

Wow! What a fantastic gift! Sounds like a fabulous group of ladies!
(If you run out of dishcloth cotton, I bought enough Peaches & Cream to last me for life so I'll take care of you!)
I want one! It's beautiful :)
Wow - that's one really crafty gift (OK, gifts)!
Wow, very nice!
The gifts I received from my hobby friends in California prior to my move to PA are some of the most special things in my house. I'm glad your group did something awesome for you!
