Honking Neckwarmer...

When I saw this cowl in an Interweave ad, I really loved the colorway...

After the book came out, I wanted to make sure I'd knit a few things in it before I bought it, and the yarn.

Malabrigo Rasta Cowl
As you can see it's big!  I like it close to my neck like this.
However, if you look at the pattern....the colorway is not the same...
Malabrigo Rasta Cowl
Namewise it is, but there is way too much gold/yellow in here. Malabrigo yarns are lovely, soft and colorful.  Variations happen in any varigated colorway, but I wasn't expecting this.

It's hangout spot
However, I think I'll keep it ;) Now to knit a hat to wear with it...you know me, gotta be sorta matchy matchy.

No mods, just knit until the yarn was almost gone.

Whoa! I never would have guessed that was supposed to be the same colorway! I liked it until I looked at the pattern pic, now I just feel a little disappointed. Weird huh? It's not even my knit! I may need therapy :-)

I checked out your new LYS from your link. That looks like a great place!
