Z's Green Thumb???

Or not? We'll see!! I spent a little time this weekend brightening up the porch area of the house. Can you say pollen is gone!! I've even started the yearly dandelion popping! What's that you ask? Weed Popper tool is how! I mean, I get out there and it's addicting...I seek, find, and "pop" them outta there! Still have part of the side yard and back to do. Plus a ton of weeding of the flower beds to do!

On to the flower pr0n!

Still more Petunias I like Petunia's a lot. These are the Wave kind...hoping for some good wild growing here!

Flowers de Belmonte More Petunia's, an Impatiens (we'll see if it lasts, my porch gets a lot of sun) and a Zinnia.

Trailing Petunia's More Wave Petunia's in my old ice cream bucket. I love petunia's when they start trailing out and blooming, I just think the effect is pretty! I really love Bougainvilla's, but finding them around here is hard, plus they are usually pretty expensive. And you know...sometimes my thumb's aren't green. Sigh!

Multigarden My attempt at one of those container gardens. Geranium in the center with some ivy on the sides and stick grass.

Zinnias Ahhhh! One of my favorite flowers....a Zinnia...wonder why? ;)

So, we'll see how these do! When I got home today, already the Zinnia's and the pink Petunia's were a bit droopy. Gah, why do they say full sun if they get parched and droopy?? I used some good potting soil...we'll see just how green Z's thumb can be!

Talk about saving the best for last! Those zinnia's are beautiful! They remind me of dahlia's. Yay for green thumbs. We should make up a colored finger for knitters. How about a red middle. ;D

Pretty flowers! I just did my back porch too! I'll have to do some photos.

Have you ever tried Big Bloomers nursery in Sanford? Sometimes they have more hard to find stuff and it isn't too expensive. Although that may be to far from you.

Oh be careful! I killed my impatiens in direct sunlight! I think they prefer shade. It's all trial by error, I think the people writing those seed packets have different definitions of "sun" than we do!

Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers to grow. They are so colorful and vivid! I haven't grown any in a while though. Your flowers looks awesome and yes, you do have a green thumb.

You really do have a green thumb. I promise to stay far, far away from your plants to keep them safe from spontaneous withering!

Your flowers are gorgeous! Kevin and I have a joint green thumb system: I plant and he waters the rest of the summer. ;o)

Ooh they look pretty.

Such a green thumb! I would probably kill all of those. So sad that I really inadvertantly have killed every plant anyone has ever given me.
