Raindrops on Roses.......

About a year ago, I first saw this pattern as a part of the Woolgirl sock club.  Tried as I might, no one would destash the pattern :(

So, when Carrie found out she would be able to sell it herself, she asked me to knit a sample for her.  She sent me the yarn and I started knitting on it the weekend we met up in Phoenix.


I didn't get the chance to block before I sent it for her photoshoot.

US 5 needles

I was a bit worried that I would run out of yarn so the last 4 rows were knit with a size 4, then I bound off with a size 5. Figures, I didn't need to as I had 4 oz. leftover. It was an easy pattern to knit. I did use a ton of stitchmarkers for the edging, that's the only way I can make sure I don't make a mistake on lace.

No mods....well except for the needle downsizing for a few rows.  Great use of sock yarns!

Now to knit up my own ;)

Ruckled Tannenbaum

Another hat knit in one of my favorite green colorways.


My hat model is back! ;)

This colorway does look a bit different in each light, but it's green with smudges of brown in it.  Definately reminds me of a tree.

Gotta love that red hair!


Interesting swirling decreases...heck interesting hat :)

The tuck stitch is pretty cool to knit.  Much easier than 16 stitch cables I tell you! this isn't for me, but I'll be knitting my own soon.

Madelinetosh 80/10/10 (MCN) Worsted in Tannebaum (limited colorway thanks to some destashes I got enough for a cowl for me to match my Crooked Tannenbaum)

No mods really.  I did mess up the crown decreases a bit and ended up with an extra stitch. Guess I can't knit in public and do 2 things at the same time to my knitting LOL!  I fixed it and you can hardly see.
