YPF-The Soy Kind.....

Paton's SWS in Natural Geranium! 70% Wool, 30% Soy! So soft and easy to work with and is just like working with Lamb's Pride yarns. It is easy to split as it is not plied, but I likey! :)

Paton's SWS

Paton's SWS

So, as you can see above, the SWS in knitting progress. But what could it be??? It could be a Calorimetry!

Calorimetry

Paton's SWS in Natural Geranium

US 6 Denise Circs

Started 24 Jan 07

Finished 25 Jan 07

Frogged 2 times (do not try to knit while chatting at skate nite...you can't remember what you did, so you fix it...and do the same thing...duh!)

No Mods, except for going down 2 needle sizes as you all know I'm quite the tight knitter...I've wanted to do this for a while, but a lot of people were having problems with their fit, so I just waited, and did my million and one other projects! Thank you Cristi, because after your post, I just did it, started with 7's and it was going fine, gauge was off about 1/2 stitch or so, but since..ahem I had to frog, I went down to 6's and glad I did! The striping was the best on the first go around, but heck I didn't want to stress out over matching, at least on this one as I didn't know how much yarn it would use using 6's. Now I know...

Calorimetry

It fits well! Not loose at all, very soft and comfy!

Calorimetry
Interesting top of the head shot...not bad for taking these myself huh? ;) My lovely assistant was fast asleep! I hear it'll be really cold today and this is knit just in time! Go ahead, make one...you know you want to!! :)
P.S. If anyone knows how I can #1 get the pictures to stay centered in the middle of my posts if I choose to or how the heck you can put the picture on the left side and write along side of it #2 why my lettering looks bold in some areas and not in others..please let me know. Thanks!!
ETA: when I see this page in html, all the codes are there as in center align and etc. Just not sure why it won't show up centered??

It looks great Z! I've been itching to make one of these, but I have too many knits in the pipeline at the moment - at this rate it will be 70-80 degrees on a daily basis before I get to it - sigh! I love the colors and the fit!! And your toes from the last post - that made me smile :) Happy Friday!

Funny - All the pictures are centered when I was looking at the post in BLoglines, but when I opened your blog in IE the first three pictures are on the left side. Hmmm.

I love the Calorimetry - I want to knit one too. Just have to figure out what yarn to use. I've never tried the SWS - looks so pretty. I'll have to try that maybe.

Aw, man... I'm so envious of all these cool Calorimetries showing up. I just don't think it would look right with short hair. I might have to make one anyway. And I love the SWS, too - great color!

Yay! It looks fabulous! I'm so happy to see it done in my favorite shade of SWS. I have 2 balls of it on hand that I'm saving for more fuzzy feet but wow. LOVE IT!!!

In the picture code, right before the width coding, type the following:

style="display:block; text-align:center,"

That'll center the pics. To be able to type with the pic on either side, instead of that code, type

style="float:right" or left.

I love the colors! The picture of it laying out looks like a set of lips :)

Your pictures all look centered to me.

Everything looks centered to me! Pretty Calorimetry!

That looks great. I love the color.

Ha ha, those look like lips too! Very nice!

I've got mine 1/2 done. ;-) What can I say, you all are a bad influence on me!

All your photos get centered in google reader. I was having the problem with the bold the other day. For some reason, wordpress was randomly adding extra "strong" tags and I had to go back and find them all to delete them (and it was adding 3-4 at the beginning of each paragraph).

Oooh, gorgeous! Both the yarn and the Calorimetry.

ooh! It looks so soft, shiny, and buttery! I love your calorimetry. I started one the other day for my bf's sister. Hopefully it will come out to gauge like yours!

I'm seeing more and more of this finished object... I think I am going to have to be a lemming...

Sometimes if the pictures are large, they look centred no matter how you format them.

You look totally cool in this and I love how the SWS yarn turned out with the striping! I have been wanting one so bad but man...I got a small head.LOL Do you thing the thing would swallow me with how wide it is?

The yarn looks so fabulous - does it have that lovely shine in "real life" too? I really like your Calorimetry too - you are right, I do want to knit one now. :)

I've done two of these myself. I'll probably end up doing at least two more. I think I'll have to pick up some of the Paytons. It's really pretty!

Oh I love it! How many did you cast on?

lexa said...

I've only ever made fuzzy feet out of the SWS, but I really like your project! I liked working with it except the second ball had numerous knots, so there was no way I could match the stripes. I found some spots easy to break, but then others I had to use scissors because I couldn't rip it with my hands.

That's so pretty, it's knit up beautifully.

Nice colorway, Z.

As for my labels...I did the Amy Butler strap thingy...fold in half, then fold both side into middle fold...extra strong.

I stamped after ironing into folded strip, then sewed, then ironed again to set the ink.

Stay warm...how can you not?
