Yarn Pr0n Friday-The Copycat Edition

Today's YPF installment was due to a case of intense liking of Julie's Big Ball Chunky Sweater she had knit this winter!

So I emailed Amy at Spunky Eclectic and chose a colorway I wanted, and the rest is history! If you click on her link, you'll see the sweater I'll be knitting. Closer to the fall of course!
Spunky Eclectic Yarn

Big Ball Chunky Sweater Yarn from Spunky Eclectic
Custom dyed Dogwood Colorway
370 yds Peruvian Wool
3-3.5 sts per inch
Spunky Eclectic Yarn
I love the browns, etc. in here! But there is something hidden...something you can't see the way the skein is presented....

Spunky Eclectic Yarn See, there is more color in there!! Just hidden until you wind it. I love the different ones and can't wait to knit it...although I have to!

Spunky Eclectic YarnSnC for size comparison!
PSA! Do not, I repeat, do not use your normal everyday ballwinder for this...(Amy warned me!) See how big that thing is!!! I did use my swift as it is a table top one, and just walked around, winding it into the ball you see. Unless you know someone that has a super-duty ball winder like Pam does (wonder if it would work on it)! Heh..maybe I need to visit her soon and just happen to bring the extra skein! ;)

Gotta go, the iron is calling my name and Heh! I finished a WIP yesterday...not telling you what until Sunday...yep, yer gonna have to wait to see just what WIP's I do finish! I need to behave and chained to the sewing machine this weekend! But I do take breaks and will need to knit too!

Have a nice weekend everyone...supposed to be too hot to go out here or stormy...

Any yarn described as "soft and squishy" has got to be good!

Now that's a nice surprise! All those beautiful colors are in there? That is so funny to see how huge that ball of yarn got to be compared to the little cotton one.
I am looking forward to seeing what you are making on the sewing machine. If I remember, you had material cut out to make needle holder cases:)

*going to try the flicker thing you mentioned, as soon as he can. Thank you!

That will be a beautiful sweater! I like the idea of a color surprise inside. It's like the cracker jacks of yarn!

That's going to be one cute sweater! Love those colors!

And if pimping out the mondo ballwinder is what it takes to get you up here, I'm not above that. ;) Either that, or I'll bring it down for SAFF.

I love that yarn--it reminds me of spumoni ice cream. I love the visual of you walking around with your giant ball 'o yarn.

You chose great colors for your Big Ball sweater! You are going to love knitting it and you won't believe how fast it knits up. I can't wait to see it, but I guess I have to :)

I have plans to make at least one more, myself.

The yarn is amazing for fall. I can't wait to see the sweater, though I realize I'll have to, it being only June and all. Wouldn't want you to pass out from knitting thick yarn in the middle of summer!
