I got the Jitterbug after the Banyan as I loved the colors so. I was quite surprised to open up the yarn and see the difference.

Wow, that is so completely different, I'm surprised that they call it the same colorway name. But I like both of them, very pretty!
I've only seen a dead kingfisher up close and personal, but I think the Jitterbug is closer to true life.

I like 'em both and I knew that the fibers would take dye differently. But I had no idea the difference could be so drastic.

Try as I might, some of my own wool will not yield those bright colours the way the Louet merino base will. It's interesting to see the comparison.

I love the Kingfisher colorway. My sister just gave me her leftovers for my Leftover Sock Yarn blankie and I just love it. (And I love the socks she knit with it!)
Let me know if you have any leftover sock yarn scraps (each square only takes 4-5 grams) that you don't know what to do with!
