These 2 lucky bobbins got picked. I knew they were going to be singles anyways when I spun them.
I had a hard time adjusting my wheel to take in the fiber, and it was my first time trying not to spin too thin as well. I recently added a polycord turbo drive band and am using it as a single drive. I think it stretched too much and thus the problems I had with this roving. However, hubs helped me
Remember this pencil roving, well it was double stranded and I think I really should have split it, it would have easier to draft, but hey, you gotta learn from your mistakes.
So I perservered and here's your "coin" shot on the niddy noddy.
And a close up
Not too shabby!
Well until they were removed from the NN. Um..can you say...
Highly energized singles! I had a laugh though, my first art yarn??
So before I hung them up to dry I fulled them, to make them look more like Lamb's pride singles. I learned how to full the singles here. I thwacked and stretched and hoped for a good turn out.
I don't think it looks too bad!
Close up
and exactly 10wpi
Cute wpi tool huh! You can find them here
Pansy Majestic

Yay! Finally some spun!!!! It looks great! Holy crud how many bobbins did you get w/your wheel?!
Wow!! So pretty!! Okay, that crinkly art yarn picture worried me a tad, but it is amazing how it looks at the end!!
And I just love the pink!!!
Love!
Well done!
totally drooling!
I love it! I love singles...I search for them in yarn shops and almost always end up buying one a skein I've never tried. I'm not sure why, though. And yet I seem to always spin with an eye toward plying.
You've inspired me to do some spinning this afternoon and finish up a ball of roving that's almost done.
Love the color! Envious.
Pretty stuff! I really like it post-fulling. I may have to try that out one of these days.
Ooo, that turned out great! Can't wait to see it knitted up.
Gorgeous and I learned a lot. I never spin singles because I need to ply to correct my overspin. You may have set me a challenge. Can't wait to see what you make with this.
You are getting SO good!
Looks like you did a great job spinning those singles. I love the colors.
I can't wait to see your scarf. You will be surprised how nice it knits up even with those energized singles! Singles will never be balanced though - takes plying to acomplish that. So enjoy the energy!
I do the same thing with my bobbins too - fill them up than start plying!
Nice job on the singles!
That turned out beautifully -- well done!!
You did a great job spinning, it looks fantastic!
