My leetle French girl! As you can see she likes it beret style.

Mondo Cable Hat
Malabrigo Worsted in Vermillion
US 5 & 8 circs, knit magic loop
I used my 8 Zephyrs tips and oh....wow....like buttah!! This wool just glided along.

Sigh..even in daylight, red is a tempermental color to picture!
I so don't like it on me though :(

I blocked it with a plate inside. I want it more slouchier. I think I'll resoak it and try to block it different so I can wear it. After all, I already have a matching pair of Toasty Reds and I think I have enough leftover for a small cowl too.

Zonda, you are just like Red Ridding Hood - all you need now is a capellet!
OOO, i love that hat! Adding it to my queue immediately. Yours turned out so gorgeous!
Love it! Well done!
She looks great in a beret! I can't pull one off either. It actually doesn't look bad on you, but I think a different hat shape would be better. Me? I look like the French dude they forgot to arrest after a bust at the drug-selling winery...
Mmm...rich red and nice chubby crisp cables! Nice!!!
Very cute hat! That will be very cheery on those dreary winter days.
Nicely done! Would you believe I have NEVER knit a hat? 'Tis true!
Tres chic!
What a pretty hat!
It's adorable!! And you know it's my favorite color!!
hehhee...I'm laughing at Batty's comment about berets in general. That's how I look in them too. But I think it looks great on you!
Okay, it looks absolutely perfect on DD!
Niiiiice! I love the red. LOVE it. I,too like hats a bit slouchier, if only to stick all this boufy hair up in it. I tend to do them with a bit of 'rasta-tude' if you know what I mean. I'll bet this will block out the way you want it to (says she who never blocks).
The hat looks great! On both of you!
Yeah, i am on the hunt for a slouchy hat too. AFTER the earflap hat
