with my first singles?
Well, knit them of course!
Still in awe of the striping!
Pre-felted bag length is 6.5", strap is 18". I knit it longer as mine has to go over the bobbin and front upright maiden to hang in front of my wheel. Um...er...well see below!
Felted!!! Yes, I was a little bit sick to my stomach, well for a minute anyways when I realized my first singles would be felted. But hey, I really wanted something to remember the experience by! I still have a little ball left that can be cuffs for mitts or something.
Felted Spinning Wheel bag
Mods were to knit the strap longer and I also knit the base a bit longer too. Easy pattern too! :)
Stripes, stripes, stripes! Post-felting bag is 4.5" and strap is 14"
Well, my bright idea of needing a longer strap to get over the parts I needed to failed a bit as you can see. Not sure if I want to use a clip to hold the "excess" strap or not. I guess I could cut the excess off and just tie a knot. Any ideas?
Heh..you know I love to knit icord, I just couldn't stop, I kept seeing stripes!
Yeah, and to think it all started with these 2 balls ;)

Oh yes, just knot it (design feature).

Great idea! You'll always have your 1st work there to inspire you.
Nice striping!
Could you cut it, then felt the two ends together? Or cut it and sew on a parachute buckle? Then you could adjust it to whatever length you wanted, whenever you wanted.
That turned out great! I love that you used your singles!
Turned out great!
love it!
I wonder if you could find a bead big enough to slip the extra length of strap through. That way you don't have to cut it, and it adds a little something special! What a great project for your own handspun!
I agree with the "just knot it" suggestion. Your bag looks great!
I love the colors!! Perfect project for you first singles!
What a perfect project for your first singles; they'll be with you every time you spin!
Yup, jus tknot it. That's what I did to the handle of my first runabout purse when the handle was too long, looks good.
