Red Scarf 2009...done!

and in the mail!

I didn't think I could do it but I perservered. Nothing else was knitted during this last week but this scarf.

I figured since I was knitting this back/forth, at least I could knit an easy pattern. As much as I love cabling, that was out of the question due to my short time frame. If you need an easy, mindless knitting scarf project, this is it.

No lengthwise shots as it had just dried and I needed to get it out. I finally spent $3 on a salad spinner to get the excess water out of the scarf. Why didn't I buy this before as it makes drying so much faster.
Red Scarf 09
Scrunchable Scarf for the Red Scarf Project
Cascade 220 in Zinnia, 1.5 skeins
US 9 circs
5" wide x 64" long

The yarn wasn't too soft while knitting, but after a bath in some SOAK, it was so soft and smelling great.

Onward to my next short time frame project...yeah..all about the short time frames around here lately....

Salad spinner to the rescue! Very nice scarf. Amazing what project monogamy can do, eh?

Very nice! I like your label as well. Mine are done, but I didn't do any blocking (as usual) and not a gorgeous label like yours too, just a card.

I just started using a salad spinner, after getting the idea from Pam. Works great, doesn't it?

Yay on finished scarf! And love the label!

You are a better human than I. My Paypal and I need to wander over to Norma's blog and make an 11th hour donation.

Though I would not knit cables with variagate yarn - but this one turned out great (so I am changing my mind).
And the decrease looks superb! LOVE it!
