Knitting with Handspun

What started out as this....
Frankensquirrel

Is looking like this....
Short row heel

and this....
Not half bad huh!

and moving right along as this....
Frankensock
Look at them there stripes!!! I love that they are subtle in their transitioning too. Seriously, I did not plan this! I'm such a spinning newb I just spin it....and it somehow becomes yarn...

It doesn't have a lot of give like other sock yarns do..well maybe because it's sport/dk weight on US 3's. It's quite interesting to knit with...um..er..gotta work on keeping consistent yarn ;)

Gotta go, I want to finish the cuff in the next day or so and cast on Sock 2. My sock mojo is back....

Yeah for sock mojo. The yarn is beautiful. Congrats on the great job spinning it up.

The batt looks sooooo soft.

I love how you can go from the batt to the socks - lovely!

Pishaw! Your yarn is very even for a newbie! I don't consider myself a total newbie anymore and it's waaaay more even than mine!

Cozy looking socks!

GORGEOUS! I really need to get "back on the wheel"...though don't you look at that beautiful braid of roving and love it just like that? I have a hard time sometimes pulling it apart because it's so pretty unspun.

Those are lovely! The colors are so subdued and pretty. The yarn looks pretty even to me...but I'm not a spinner, so what do I know! Well, I know I'd knit with it, so that should say something for you. :)

Oh my, that IS pretty. I bet they'll be comfy, but hardwearing socks. Looking forward to seeing the finished pair this week :0)

Gorgeous sock! And newb spinner - my foot! You are not! I'm so smitten with handspun....it knits up into such pretty fabric.
PS - can you pass some of the sock knitting mojo to me, pretty please?
