Furry Friends...

Belle...sigh....our million dollar dog! Well not really, but close! We thought her ear surgery in December would end the infections, but sadly not. They did for about 4 months but since beginning of July she's had some problems.

So after she got a ear flush last week and having to be sedated, we decided to get a few skin tags cut off her. You see she's pretty old now, 11.5 people years and is a little unsteady on her feet. She gets the skin tags bleeding by falling, slipping, etc....

Why Momma??
So, to protect the belly and elbow stitches, we tried wrapping gauze, etc.  Um..no dice...

So I got one of my old t-shirts and that fit the bill!
015

Although, it made us laugh so much!  She looked like a child turned into a dog with it on.

Totally PO'd
True humiliation......

I love reading about people who take such wonderful care of their pets. I truly understand the "million dollar dog" tag. Have a couple who live with me.....

LOL! Poor baby. The t-shirt is a great idea though! I'll have to keep that in mind...

It could be worse. Someone else recently found that the only way to keep her dog from chewing his tail while it healed was to put an old denim skirt on him.

The t-shirt is awfully cute, though.

Ahh bless her she looks adorable. Our pets are million $ babies - they don't ingest dog food they ingest money...but they're worth it.

Poor baby. But so cute! Our lab mix is almost 15, so I know all about those million dollar babies. He has a $2000 eye and a $100/mo medication "habit". Not to mention all the adjustments we've had to make to the house to accommodate his arthritic hips (lots of area rugs). Oh, the things we do for them.

Also - word verification is "conable". I don't think a Cone of Shame would help in this situation. BAD word verification!

Awwwwwwww---so cute. I think she looks pretty comfy in her shirt.

I can only picture you trying to get it on her. Sort of like stuffing sausages, eh?
