Door vs. Circular

And guess who won!

Sniff...while getting into the car to go see Star Trek finally!! (loved it!) My sock bag at my side when I shut the door. (of course I didn't realize at the time) I didn't think anything was amiss until I opened the bag and saw this...
sniff....
My beloved HiyaHiya 2.75mm magicloopable stainless steel circs. These needles are so nice and light and stuff glides over them. Great cords too and 1/2 the price of addi's.... They seem to have those odd sizes (a friend got 000's and 0000 in them---heh, not me I gave away my 0's I refuse to knit on them!) I often need to knit my socks on 2.0, 2.25, 2.5, and 2.75mm's, sometimes more than one size on a pattern. Glad Sheri has restocked...pardon me while I go order another pair.

In the meantime, it's a good thing I still know how to use....
Good thing....
dpns! Don't like them much for socks, but they are a good backup to have....when one has so many socks, so little time....

oh no! I'm in the same boat, broke one of my beloved knitpicks harmony circs, which I'm using on my purse socks. Sigh. Guess it's back to dpns for awhile on those too!

I totally agree on the HiyaHiya's, their circ's are extremely nice.

Oh man! My friend Heather did that with her size 10.5 needle too. No size is safe from a car door!

Sorry to hear about your needle problem. It really did crush the little baby, didn't it.

Well, good thing you have some back up dpns.

Oh, no. The door always wins, it sucks.

hmmmm...I actually think it may be Star Trek's fault and not the door because when I saw Star Trek....30 minutes early, pulled out the sock to start knitting and ...broken needle! hmmm..

And, curious minds want to know, is that pigeonroof yarn? Whatever it is, its purty!

AHHHHHH! My eyes! My eyes! A moment of silence for that poor HiyaHiya, taken away in its prime...

Those are my favorite needles. You can also get them at thebackwardsloop.com. She does free shipping on needles!

Oh! Poor thing. Hopefully you have your new needles now. I'll have to try those. I didn't realize they were 1/2 price of Addis!

Although I am partial to my dpns. :)
