Noro Pr0n Friday the 2nd!

Noro Silk Garden #217

Noro Pr0n Friday the 2nd!

I like all the colors, the way the look together in the skein.

Noro Pr0n Friday the 2nd!

Pretty soft, well softer then Kureyon! Lovely colors and I'll be interested to see what it looks like knitted.
Noro Pr0n Friday the 2nd!

The purple looks almost bluish as it gets closer to the brown. Hmm ideas for 3 skeins of this? There's a bag in One-skein a lot of peeps have made and it's less than one skein (go figure!) or a few caps (but seriously, down here, not too much wear) so what to do.....

Happy Friday everyone! See ya Sunday! :)

It seems as I am packing to go..um..I'm about 1 for 1.....1 quilt project=1 knitting project...and so on...(have 3 totes just for knitting stuff!) Yes I am a serious overpacker, but it can sit in the car until I need it. ;) (not like when I am flying and paying $$ for overweight baggage!)

Don't want to run out of stuff to do! ;)

I love the colors in that yarn!! I can't wait to see what it becomes. From one over-packer to another - I think you might need to add one more project. :) Have fun!

Gorgeous! I did a really easy and pretty scarf using a stitch pattern called wheat field that set off the color changes really well of the Noro Silk Garden. I made it for my ISE partner. My scarf only used 2 skeins, but it could easily be made wider or longer with a third skein. My FO was about 4 inches wide and 60" long.

The colors are very rich jewel tones. It will be beautiful whatever you decide to knit.

I understand your packing. I always need my project plus extra yarn plus a good book and an extra. Most of the time I get too busy to touch any of it. It's reassuring to that its there though!

Safe travels!

:)

When it comes to travelin' wips, I firmly believe it's better to have it and not need it than want it and not have it. ;)

Have a great time at the retreat!

Have a great time!

(I used 3 sk of Noro for my new vintage capelet, *just* under 3 sk! :))

I've used 3 skeins of Silk Garden to make a Booga Bag. Loved it! It takes a couple of extra times to felt, but worth it!

Have a great quilting weekend!

I fear I would just sit and stare at it for a looooong time...it's so...perfect.
But then I would make a small wrap, I think.

I'm still waiting to buy my first Noro - it never feels all that soft to me! Maybe I'm crazy... but those colors you've got might just inspire me. :) So lovely.

No ideas, but that is some seriously lovely Noro!

Glad I'm not the only one who over-packs on trips. My excuse is--I like to have lots of options. :)

I'm just imagining what would happen if Noro started to make sock yarn...

Great pix! someone made a Lady Eleanor shawl from Scarf Style out of Silk Garden. Check it out here: http://cinemaknits.blogspot.com/
(Don't know how to make it HTML, sorry!)

You'll need more than 3 skeins, but for this kind of project, they needn't be in the same dyelot.
