YPF-The Tilted Edition

Tilted as this week's Pr0n is the yarn I purchased for the Tilted Duster . I didn't have enough yardage in the stash Peace Fleece or Lamb's Pride. So I splurged with some destash dollars and got this at WEBS, which was discountable, so I saved about $1.50 per skein.

Berroco Peruvia
Berroco Peruvia in Azul. This is so similar to Lamb's Pride Bulky too, ahhh! I hear it sheds like crazy, but I'm used to it as LP does too!

In a nervous panic after reading about someone making a small with 6 skeins, I called WEBS to search for my dyelot for 2 more safety skeins. That's exactly what they had left in that dyelot (well, I would have taken the other one!) and promptly shipped it to me.

Cast on date...um..when Everyday Cardi is finished...I'm not allowed to even swatch! I'm off today, so the cardi is getting a bath and a sleeve is getting finished. Hey, I can swatch while it's drying right..not like I can do anything with the cardi while it's drying...right... ;)

Well, of course you should swatch! What else are you supposed to do while the cardi is drying? ;)

SWATCH! Actually when I did mine, I swatched using the right front. Really it isn't much bigger than 4" across and then you are swatching AND knitting the piece since it really is not much bigger than swatch size. It was nice. I got this idea from someone else. It wasn't my bright idea, but it was perfect.

You must wear yours to SAFF. yes yes you must. I ordered my yarn from Webs. I need to call and see if they have some in the same dyelot if I run out.

Yes indeed, swatching one sweater while the other is drying is most certainly allowed. :) Love the color of the new yarn. So pretty. And a YPF with no yellow in sight, hmmmm. Tee hee.

You could fan the cardi to speed up the drying process ;-)

Swatch away, swatch away!

Ooo...beautiful! My cousin is making that tilted duster RIGHT NOW (she just picked up the stitches to the 'skirt' part). This yarn is going to be lovely, cannot wait to see it knit up!

Pretty color!
I'm just finishing up my Tilted Duster now. Just be forewarned that some people have found that the sleeves run a little small for the body. My sleeves actually fit fine, but my fronts were gigantic and I had to re-knit them. It fits wonderfully now, though.

Pretty yarn! Show off your Cardi in progress... I've finally cast off on the sleeves, so I've got all the 'parts' and just need to block them and put them together now.

That will be beautiful! Glad you were able to get enough of the yarn.

Definitely swatch while it's drying, that's just making an efficient use of your time :-) Gorgeous blue.

The duster is going to be beautiful in that yarn. I say go for the swatch, you need somthing to do while the cardi is soaking.

That duster is going to be lovely! I so want to make that too! You see that is my problem I have to sit tight and finish some stuff first:)

I can hardly wait to see your sweater:)

If you do what Aimee did and use the front piece for a swatch then yes. Wait until you're done your cardigan. Otherwise, you're technically starting before you're done. That yarn is going to make a pretty duster!
