What have we got here....a strap...
Red strap
a very long one indeed! I knit most of this on or waiting for the planes last week. It's now 5 feet 8". I'm knitting until the end of the 2 skeins and I'm supposed to have 16' total. As of right now I discovered a fatal error....I should have ordered 5 skeins of this red colored yarn (Knitpicks Wool of the Andes in Tomato), I only ordered 2. It is so not enough!! :( I have to admit, when I ordered this yarn (in late 2005) I was a new knitter and since this was a total yarn sub and my first yarn sub oh well. (dammit, a little voice told me I may not have enough...but I truly thought I did, guess I didn't see the part for needing 5 skeins...) It is a discontinued colorway and I'm just going to find enough in Cascade 220 to start over. I'd love to try the Lite Lopi, but that is single ply and this is a 3 ply. Funny how Shannon also posted about hers today. Our goal this year is to finish them and maybe they can meet! On the Ravelry page, we are side by side..neat I think...

Off to order some red yarn...dammit!

When I was new knitter I have never done a gauge - I would try to figure out in my head how many sts to CO! I was so stupid back there! Ofcourse, I rarely figured it out right!

Did you look for a stash of it on Ravelry? You never know. You might find some.

I've got some red Lion Wool hanging around that I don't need. Want me to send you a snip in an envelope? To see if it matches.
