Burly YPF!

Giggle, wonder what a search on that will turn up?

May I present, a yarn I do not need to fall too much in love with, at least living in NC. But I do love the Company that produces it! Any guesses??

Brown Sheep Burly Spun

Strawberry Patch Colorway
The first time I had ever laid my paws on a skein of this! It'll be like knitting with rope, but that's ok..it's from BS!

Sapphire, sniffing yarn just like me! ;) Well, only caught the label action LOL!

Kitty Pr0n

From So Much Yarn in Seattle. I found that place less than 1 hr after arrival. Only a few blocks from my hotel. I went around the store, gosh at least 6 or more times...this kept jumping out at me everytime I walked by. Nice store with a lot of good yarns, I left with this and 2 other skeins you saw in my cotton post below (the Candy yarn at the top of the yarncolander) ;)

Note to self...yeah, its fun to take yarny pictures outside, even in pollen filled magnolia tree (trashed those pics, they weren't good)..but geesh..don't wipe your eyes....and do not go outside during pollen season unless you HAVE to!! 'nuff said...*stumbles to find eye drops and sinus meds!) No animals were injured in this post, just the photographer! ;)

Wow! The mucus-tear filled sacrafices you make in the name of good yarn porn! That's dedication!!!! :-)

I'm not a thick spun kinda girl, but I really like that!!!

Oh goodness, Burly...hunky alaskan logging men...in thermal shirts and plaid flannels. Now that's a great picture in my mind. :) giggle

I have yet to get to So Much Yarn. The owner, Lauren, was the original owner of Lauren's Wild and Wooly in Polsbo, WA (a stop we make on our way to knitting retreat each year). Alas, she sold it, it is now called Wild and Wooly, and is not one of our favorite places to stop. The yarn is organized by COLOR not but gauge, weight, type, yada, yada. Sure...nice if you just want anything in a certain color, not nice when looking for the right weight.

On my list of things to do by summer: Visit So Much Yarn.

Have a great weekend and a great Spring Break off next week. I'll be thinking of you.

Beautiful! I love the colors and it looks so thick and squishy. Although you are right, I can't imagine wearing something made from it too much here in NC. I'll be interested to see what you decide to make

Have a great spring break!

Pretty colors!
Guess where I am this weekend?

I used Burly Spun to make a kitty pi bed for one of the gatos. Yes, the kitty pi bed that they ignore.
